This is a boxset that was released in '91 and contains selected music from every one of his films. If you've ever seen Yojimbo then you have an idea of the greatness of thats in contained here-in. They just don't make them like they used to.

If you want to hear a live performance of the soundtrack of Kurosawa's Ran, there's a "film concert" by the Young Musicians Foundation Orchestra conducted by Japanese female conductor Tomomi Nishimoto during a condensed screening of Ran. It's at the Beverly Hills Hotel on March 23, 2009 7:00 pm to 10:00 pm. Looks like they're launching the Anaheim University Akira Kurosawa School of Film and I read that Spielberg and Scorsese are taking part in a Kurosawa tribute http://www.anaheim.edu/gala
