i don't know how many of you would be into such things
let me know if any of you would think this is a good idea or not
i mean basically i'd just be using my mailing lists and my online distro searching as reference points for now and this would be nothing you guys couldn't do by yourselves
but its something... i guess
i don't know
does anyone else really want another fucking unearthly trance record uploaded?

Nirvana-Unreleased Tracks
It's Nirvana. And it's a bunch of stuff that you've probably never heard by them. Just download it asshole.
Barry Adamson - Back To The Cat (2008)
If you've been asleep for the last 20 years, you may not have heard of Barry Adamson was in. He started out as the bass player for Magazine (Howard Devoto's band after leaving the Buzzcocks subsequent to the release of their only worthwhile record), moved on to the Bad Seeds for a number of years, worked with Pan Sonic and Visage and scored a David Lynch film. He also has a relatively sizable backcatalogue of solo records. This is his most recent. Thanks to my dad for sending me the link.
river's edge - ost

the movie that brought ted "theodore" logan and marty mcfly together

Low & The Dirty Three - In The Fishtank
This EP is fucking incredible. It's Low and The Dirty Three, that's all you really need to know. The only thing that sucks about this album is the fact that they will probably never do anything together again.
Anyway download it when you all get sick of your "sludge metal" and "death metal"
dl
(the) dead kennedys - plastic surgery disasters (w. in god we trust, inc. ep)

Indian - Slights and Abuse/The Sycophant(2008)

Vicious sludge.
This CD collects two earlier vinyl releases, which I see have been posted on this blog, but the Slights and Abuse link is dead, and this is pretty fucking excellent, so here it is again.
Lvmen - Mondo(2006)
More top-notch post-rock/metal from this Czech band.
This is their 2nd full length, I posted the 1st earlier.
The Fix-At The Speed Of Twisted Thought
Out of print
Discography by this underated, early 80's, midwestern hardcore band. Came out on Touch and Go Records. Booklet includes memoirs about the band by Henry Rollins, Thurston Moore and others.
For fans of: Negative Approach, The Necros, Minor Threat, early Bad Brains
Velvet Cacoon-Genevieve

Someone uploaded this last september but it needs to be up again. Amazing ambient black metal album with some really cool non-black metal elements mixed in. Look them up on Wikipedia for a decent bio on them and all their weirdness. It's not currently available on cd but Southern Lord has put out an insane re-issue on vinyl.
Bonnie Prince Billy - Lie Down In The Light (2008)
my ultra gay man crush on william oldham continues with his newest release from one of the best of all time, homeboy's got over 20 albums of solid music released under various names, he's done great side projects with jason molina and has made all sorts of music
if you know bpb than you know what to expect but definitely check this out if you like altcountry wilco calexico ween songs:ohia magnoliaelec co murderbydeath

Coffins - Buried death (2008)
Japanese death/doom, heavy and stuff, nil likes this band, which probably means you'll hate it.

Noodly, caustic sludge tomfoolery from none other than Spain, enjoy or delete, whatever suits you.
The Gault

Gaza - I Don't Care Where I Go When I Die
Just kind of happened across these guys. Pretty badass. I guess I'd say a slower, heavier Converge maybe minus the vocals at some parts.
Overall pretty badass
Enjoy
Mic Fury - Au Bout Du Tunnel (2006)
i have so many stories about this album that I can't put it all down here. very underground album that I got via this french guy's linux in '06. turns out its hugely underground and not sold in stores as I looked at every record shop I went to when I visited Paris (its not even on Amazon.fr). when I bought some Magma in a shop there, some kid behind me was buying a Rick Ross cd and I asked him if he heard of this guy and received a nope, followed by him listening to a track on my iPod and then him saying in broken english, "I tommorow will download". to sum up this is angry french hip-hop that when I listen to it I can just imagine french punks burning cars to this. it also has a song called "United States of Apocalypse".
part I
part II

It has arrived.
